About the role
A great opportunity exists for qualified Health Care Workers to join the Grampians Health - Edenhope, working across our two aged care communities co-located in Lakeside Living.

The position calls for applicants with a high degree of availability and flexibility.

We provide a paid orientation day on commencement, salary packaging, in-service education and professional development, along with all other permanent staff benefits.

The Health Care Worker (HCW) provides holistic, safe, effective and quality care to residents consistent with the organisation’s mission, vision and values. This will include but not be limited to, assisting residents with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, communication, eating, mobility and social activities. The HCW is required to work as a productive member of a care team to provide person centred care to all residents in accordance with the care plan

Skills and experience

  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Ageing Support or equivalent
  • Assist Clients with Medication (HLTHPS006), preferred
  • Follow Basic Food Safety Practices (HLTFSE001)
  • Demonstrated person-centred care and respectful approach to patients, visitors and staff
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred, but is not essential

Edenhope Area

Grampians Health Edenhope is a one-stop shop for health care in the surrounding community and provides a range of on-site services or hosts visiting services. The aim is to provide as many services in the community as possible to minimise the amount of travel that people need to undertake to stay healthy.

Edenhope is located in the Grampians region close to various walking and biking trails.  It is less than an hour away from the world-famous Mount Arapiles.  A few wineries are in close proximity such as the Coonawarra and Padthaway wine region.

All appointments are subject to a satisfactory police records check, immunisation clearance and Working with Children check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check.

All employees must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required, which at a minimum is a surgical mask.  Additional PPE requirements are role-dependent.
